Alinda lets you trade real stocks and crypto with fake money. Here's how to go from zero to your first trade.
1. Create your account
Sign in with Google, Apple, or an email address — there's no card and nothing real to pay. The first time, you'll pick a username (3–20 characters: lowercase letters, numbers, and underscores). It's how other traders see you on leaderboards and profiles, and you can change it later.
2. Create a portfolio
A portfolio is a pocket of fake money you trade with. Give it a name, choose whether it's public or private, and set your starting cash — anywhere from $1,000 to $100,000. You can run as many portfolios as you like, one per strategy.
3. Place your first trade
Search for any stock or crypto by name or ticker, open it, and hit Buy. Enter an amount in dollars or shares (fractional shares are fine — $50 of a $900 stock works), pick the portfolio to trade from, and confirm. Selling works the same way.
4. Track and compete
- Add tickers to a watchlist to follow them without trading.
- Watch each portfolio's value and profit/loss update with live prices.
- Join a monthly season to compete against everyone else from an equal starting balance on a public leaderboard.
